Unlike other sea voyages, a crossing on a tall sailing ship involves a long stay in the open sea and full immersion in seamanship. During the crossing, you`ll turn into a full-fledged crew member and keep watch with other participants: learn how to stand at the helm, set sails, climb the mast, work with gear, plan a route using paper maps and much more. Also, the crew may need help with ship-wide work: setting the table, putting the deck in order, removing or repairing the sails. We recommend taking part in all activities – this is essential to build a dream team.
Sure. We organize a shift schedule in such a way that each participant has enough time to rest. In your free time, you can enjoy the sea, read a book from the ship's library, chat with your shipmates or delve into one of the topics of interest related to seamanship.
No. A non-stop crossing from point A to point B does not involve intermediate stops.

Yes. A few weeks before the start of the program, we`ll add you to a private chat, where we`ll post useful information on the crossing and preparation and introduce you to the instructor and the rest of the participants.
No special equipment is required to take part in the crossing. Before starting the program, we`ll send you a list of necessary clothes and shoes in an additional briefing. If you lead an active lifestyle, then most likely you already have most of the necessary clothes.
We recommend taking a yacht waterproof jumpsuit with you in case of bad weather (it`s the most convenient and comfortable option), but any waterproof jacket and pants will also work.
