It's like going outside the city on the weekend. At some point, mooring in a crowded marina becomes routine, and the main adventure is finding a free table at a coastal restaurant. If you feel like you've hit a ceiling and want to recapture that pioneering spirit, we have an idea.
Let's be honest: if you have an IYT or RYA license and have been yachting for more than a year, you've probably seen it all. Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Seychelles — they're all for sure great, warm, comfortable, but... predictable.
Not as a passenger on a cruise ship, looking at the world through the porthole on the 10th deck. We invite you to take the helm of the SCORPIUS sailboat yourself!
We invite you to Antarctica and Greenland
We understand that the polar latitudes are not the place to learn from your mistakes alone. That's why we offer a hybrid format — check the idea:
— The captain knows the local hydrography, ice conditions, and currents. He is your assistant and insurance against unforeseen situations. — The technician takes care of all the hardware. The diesel engine, generator, and desalinator must all function like clockwork, and you should not have to spend your vacation diving into the engine compartment with a wrench. — The cook, so that we can eat restaurant-level meals instead of sandwiches on board. — The polar guide, who will monitor safety in Greenland and compliance with environmental regulations in Antarctica.
We are your support. Our experienced captain and technical specialist are always on board:
You set the course, work with the sails, choose a place to anchor, and make decisions. Want to approach an iceberg? Let's go. Want to look for whales? Let's look. This is the complete freedom that we all love about sailing.
Scorpius is a sailing yacht with an overall length of 29 m. The yacht's builder is Jongert Yachts from Netherlands. The yacht features 4 cabins accommodating up to 8 guests and 4 en-suite bathrooms, providing maximum comfort throughout the voyage.
We will meet in Reykjavik, Iceland, and fly to the largest island in the world. Then, we sail along the east coast — this part of Greenland is less populated, and it is the very place where you can enjoy the pristine nature and immerse yourself in the Inuit culture.
DESTINATIONS
Season: July – September
Antarctica
We will meet you in the Chilean city of Punta Arenas and fly across the stormy Drake Passage. The yacht and crew will be waiting for you at the Bellingshausen Antarctic station on Waterloo Island. And then it's just you and the Antarctic Peninsula: if you need it, we will point out the most interesting spots and advise you on the best route.
Season: December – March (Antarctic summer).
Who is it for?
We are not trying to sell this program to everyone. It is suitable for you if:
You have real experience, a license (Bareboat Skipper and above), and you feel confident at sea
You are bored of sailing from buoy to buoy off the coast of Turkey
You understand what discipline means in a crew
This is NOT for you if:
You are not prepared for the fact that the weather is the boss here and can change your plans three times a day
You want an all-inclusive service and a polar guide. All this is available on our Amazone and Eldorado sailboats
Most people see the polar latitudes as tourists. You will see them as a captain.
We will discuss the details and select suitable dates

“It never occurred to me that I could miss sea travel and sea people so much… This trip to Iceland and Greenland on the Wylde Swan tall ship was just a breath of joy and freedom. I think I was even overloaded with impressions. There were mast climbs from where you could see the ice-filled fjord. There were jokes, landings at an abandoned American military base and Greenlandic villages. There were whales, icebergs, whales against icebergs and so on!
Experimentally we found out that night watches have an amazing soporific property: before and after them you don't want to sleep at all, but during the watch you have to fight for who will go to check the engine room to cheer up. All in all, it was an incredibly joyful adventure, even considering that on the way back we got caught in a storm and someone (I) spent a day and a half in bed! I'd say it was an essential part of the voyage. But it's better to be on this trip in person and experience your own emotions, because every trip is unique!”

Thanks to the participants of our hike: it was fun, reliable and very interesting with you! Thanks to Iceland and Greenland for the pristine beauty presented, for the people they met, for icebergs and whales, for mountains and waterfalls. It's worth seeing!

Nothing could possibly have prepared me for how incredible this week has been, and no words will adequately capture the memories you've helped me make. This was literally one of the best weeks of my life. Each day we did so many fun, exciting, challenging, and memorable activities that I can hardly keep track of them. After all the uncertainty and negativity in the world during recent events, the uplifting positivity, and teamwork aboard your ship is such a wonderful contrast. My time aboard was the first time in a long time when I truly felt joy.

This week was exceptional as so many different people became a whole, connected to each other and have done an amazing exchange of ideas, energy, experience, knowledge. We worked, and played, and learned and listened, and talked to each other. Steered the wheel, set the sails, kept watches and participated in lectures, learned knots, rode dinghy, played the guitar, sang, connected. I thank the destiny for this opportunity.
